Graceville Physiotherapy Pain Slayers was established in 1990 to service the local communities of Graceville, Sherwood, Corinda, Chelmer and surrounding suburbs. 

Our clinic embraces best practice principles and concentrates on evidence based practice plus investigating the newest and most advanced assessment and treatment techniques available to the profession of physiotherapy. 

We offer a wide variety of services including: musculoskeletal physio, sports Injury treatment and rehab, women’s health including antenatal/postnatal care, vertigo – BPPV and jaw/TMJ treatments.  We run clinical exercise classes to enhance patient outcomes in these areas also.

Experienced Physiotherapist Positions

We have permanent full or part-time positions available for experienced physiotherapists who are interested in working as part of a team and who also want to continue to learn and develop their skills. Remuneration is above award, plus bonuses depending on years of experience.

Physiotherapy New Graduate Program

From January 2021 we will be offering new graduates a two-year training program here at Graceville Physiotherapy.  We have senior physiotherapists (including titled Musculoskeletal and Sports & Exercise physiotherapists) in charge of all of these niche areas who are able to mentor you during the two-year program.

These positions are full-time permanent positions and are paid at 10% above the relevant award rate for the two years. Following this period there is the ability to move to a permanent base plus percentage income. The following is an outline of the two-year program.

Year 1

Online training in how to deliver gold standard physiotherapy care including how to successfully connect with patients, how to plan treatments based on the needs of the patient and how to successfully progress the patient through the following three levels …

  1. Relief of Symptoms 
  2. Correction of Movement 
  3. Performance Enhancement.

Also included is:

  • Access to online learning platforms
  • One hour weekly continuing education with a senior physiotherapist in a group setting
  • One hour weekly performance coaching with a senior physiotherapist
  • Shadowing of Senior Therapists weekly to enhance learning
  • External Courses included are dry Needling, kinesiology taping and pilates training.
  • Involvement with local sports teams games coverage
  • Relationship development with local gyms and sports clubs

Year 2

  • One hour weekly continuing education in a group setting
  • Monthly performance coaching (more if needed)
  • Shadowing of senior therapists 
  • Two external courses in areas you would like to progress in and agreed upon by the practice principal. 
  • Access to online learning platforms
  • Mentoring of 4th year UQ students
  • Involvement with local sports teams games coverage
  • Relationship development with local gyms and sports clubs
  • We value and promote our team environment.  We have social get togethers every three months which of course are non compulsory but encouraged.

Remedial Massage Therapist Position

Graceville Physio is looking for a Remedial Massage Therapist to join our team of Physiotherapists in our busy clinic in Graceville. We are offering an excellent opportunity for new graduate and experienced therapists to work alongside our team of physios and further grow their skill set with a range of internal and external continuing education opportunities.

The position is a flexible, permanent position with part-time and full-time hours available. That is paid at 10% above award. 

Our Remedial Massage graduate position offers a great opportunity for you to develop and grow as a health practitioner with excellent additional internal and external training provided and the opportunity to work with our dynamic team. 

The successful candidate will possess Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy and be able to perform various massage styles such as remedial, relaxation, pregnancy and sports massage.

      • Have membership with a Massage Association and Professional Indemnity insurance
      • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
