Graceville Physiotherapy was established in 1990. We are so grateful to the local communities of Graceville, Sherwood, Corinda, Tennyson ,Oxley and Chelmer for their loyal and continued support. We consider ourselves to be the PAIN SLAYERS of the western suburbs. Our philosophy is to offer a healing sanctuary of comfort and support to all embarking upon their Wellness Journey. Master of Pain Relief
Melissa believes that a good physiotherapy program has to start with good pain relief first. Her programs will not only focus on your pain relief but will teach you how to stop your pain from coming back. You will be empowered to take your health into your own hands and enjoy
life again. Melissa has qualifications in Physiotherapy, Evidence-based Dry Needling, Kinetic Link Training and Physio-based Pilates and has a special interest in Balance and Strength exercises for Seniors as well as Manual Handling/Lifting in the workplace. Mel has been in the health industry for over 5 years.
Master of Sports Rehabilitation
As well as being a physiotherapist Naren has a special interest in Sport Rehabilitation. He is a qualified Sports Trainer and has qualifications in Physio-based Pilates and Evidence-based Dry Needling. Naren currently works alongside AFL umpires to ensure that their fitness is at its best. He will be able to tailor a sports specific rehabilitation program to you.
Whether you are an adult or a child Naren will design a program that suits your needs. He has worked with children with special needs and is great at setting up special programs for these children. Naren is able to come up with individual programs for sports, in particular Tennis, AFL, Rugby and Cricket. His involvement at high levels within these sports is what drew him to being a physiotherapist so he is passionate about the programs he sets.
Master of Exercise Therapy
Will is interested in training and keeping fit and makes sure that all of his clients have the right exercise program for their needs. He is passionate about treating injuries for the best outcome by listening to your concerns and understanding your needs for your lifestyle.
Dr Christina Hart
Physiotherapist & Master of Sports Injuries
Christina is our Specialist Sports Physiotherapist and has the uncanny ability to get the most out of your body. She has lead rehabilitation teams in the USA for the NBA as well as worked extensively with Olympic level and professional level athletes here and in the USA.
Your program with Christina will involve the most up to date techniques as she is passionate about continuing to learn more and more within her field. Christina has qualifications in Exercise Physiology, Sports Physiotherapy, Clinical Exercise, Clinical Pilates, Exercise Science, Evidence-based Dry Needling and Vertigo treatments. She has had over 12 years of experience within this field.
Master of Women's Health
Meredith has been a physio since 2006 and loves to help people identify issues that may be contributing to their health problems. By doing this Meredith is able to design a treatment and lifestyle plan for you that addresses your main concerns and ensures that you can live a full
and active life. Meredith treats a wide variety of conditions and has a special interest in neck and back pain, tendinopathy, jaw (TMJ) dysfunction and women’s health.
Meredith loves to get you back to physical activity, especially after pregnancy and birth. She holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy as well as a Masters of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy and has additional training in Women’s Health Physiotherapy (including pessary fitting). Additionally, Meredith is trained in Pilates and dry needling and will integrate these into her treatments when required.
Master of Movement Analysis
Molly has the extra ordinary ability to analyse movement. She will notice any movement issues causing you pain almost as soon as you walk in the door. Molly will develop an individual program for you that will quickly correct your movement and give you the tools to look after
your own body, getting you back to your favourite activity or sport in no time.
Molly has qualifications in Physiotherapy, Clinical Exercise, Human Movements, Evidence-based Dry Needling and Physio-based Pilates and she has a done further mentoring in Vertigo and Pregnancy Physio. She has over 10 years of experience within the Health field.
Gabi De Campos Furtado
Master of Rehabilitation
Gabi is an expert at Posture Correction, muscle retraining and chronic pain relief. She will have you standing up straighter than ever before and with less pain. Her programs will focus on your goals and what you want to achieve to make your life more enjoyable and of course pain free.
Gabi has qualifications in Physiotherapy (Australia and Brazil), Clinical Exercise, Lymphatic Drainage, Evidence-based Dry Needling, Women’s Health Physiotherapy and Physio-based Pilates. She has a special interest in Women’s Health and Pregnancy-related health issues. Gabi has also worked extensively with women who have had breast surgery and cosmetic surgery requiring lymphatic treatments. Gabi has had over 12 years of experience in the industry
Remedial Massage Therapist / The Master Of Massage
Jeanette will have you floating out the door after a session with her. She can find all of the points in your body that are causing you pain and get to work on them. They will not stand a chance with her around. She will also liase with your
physiotherapist Pain Slayer to ensure that her treatment compliments other treatments that you may be having. Jeanette has qualifications in Remedial Massage, Evidence-based Dry Needling, Myofascial Cupping, Pregnancy massage and Sports massage. Jeanette has worked in the industry for over 10 years
Master of Sports Massage (Dip. Remedial Massage)
Mick is passionate about sport, having played volleyball professionally until sustaining a career-ending injury. He began working alongside physiotherapists and chiropractors where he gained experience relating to healing injuries
and realised his passion for massage therapy and the undeniable benefits of such treatment.
Upon his move to Australia, Mick completed his Cert IV in Massage Therapies (2009) and then his Diploma of Remedial Massage (2015) at the Australian College of Massage (also known as Evolve).
Through this, Mick has gained vast experience in providing massage services and now specialises in remedial and deep tissue therapies, whilst also doing sports and relaxation massage. Mick’s treatment often incorporates cupping which has proven to be quite effective in combination with massage. While Mick can treat any part of the body, if you are specifically experiencing upper back, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, stress or stomach issues, Mick would be the ideal therapist for you.
George loves to work with his hands and teaches all the Pain Slayers his favourite joint mobilising techniques. Your pain is quickly gone once he has his hands on you. His no muck around approach will have you learning about your problem quickly and how you can best help
yourself. George has qualifications in Physiotherapy, Sports Physic, Workplace assessments and foot biomechanics and orthotic advice. George has been in the field for over 33 years.
Practice Manager / Master Of Team Management
You can be sure to feel welcome and looked after when you enter our greeting area because of Jen’s ability to organise everyone and everything. Jen’s background in team management and nurturing ensures that you
can ask her any question you like whether it be about an appointment or about a sensitive issue that you might like us to know about. You can always feel comfortable voicing any concerns to Jen, and she will sort them for you. Jen has qualifications in Recreational Management and Health.
Master of Relations
Dom is another friendly face you may encounter when entering our greeting area. His interpersonal skills ensure that you feel comfortable and no task is too great for him. Dom is currently studying a Bachelor of Aviation.
Support Staff / Master of Organisation
Rebecca will greet you with a friendly face as you enter our greeting area and has the ability to know the details of everything. She is our go to girl for anything requiring details. All you need to do is ask her and she will make it her task to find out for you. Rebecca has qualifications in Nutrition.
Mental Health Occupational Therapist / Visiting Therapists
Liz has over 20 years of experience working in mental health recovery. If your mental health has impacted on your wellness and the ability to function in everyday life then Liz is the person to see. Her programs will focus on self care, relationships, work, study, leisure and looking after yourself mentally and physically. She will get you back to Doing Life.
You will be empowered to develop a meaningful occupation and life role as she sees this as a vital part of mental health recovery.
If you suffer from adverse life circumstances, transition and stress, Liz will listen without judgement and help you to develop a plan. Liz specialises in adults and adolescents with depression, Bipolar affective disorder, Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive disorder, Post traumatic stress, Schizophrenia, psychosis and chronic pain.
Master of Customer Happiness
Emmaliese is an integral member of our friendly reception team. Her kind and attentive approach helps ensure that patients are well looked after and that the practice runs smoothly. Emmaliese is currently studying Zoology and Business Economics.
Creator of Great Physiotherapy Teams
Angela will work with the Team of Pain Slayers to ensure that you are getting the best service possible. She has extensive experience with pre and post natal care and is currently mentoring some of the team in these areas. Her focus is on education of her clients and team in order to
empower them to become the best that they can be. Angela has qualifications in Physiotherapy, Physio-based Pilates, Evidence-based Dry Needling and Coaching
