Graceville Physiotherapy – Our Community Work

Sherwood PhysioHere at Graceville Physio Pain Slayers we believe in helping to strengthen the community through offering free services that some may not otherwise be able to access.

We run a Strength and Balance class at the Sherwood Neighbourhood Centre every fortnight on a Wednesday at 10.30 for anyone in need especially seniors and those with some balance problems wanting to keep active.

This class is suitable for any level, including those in wheelchairs. It is a simple and functional exercise class to get you active and able to handle everyday life with a little more ease. Exercises are fun and you will get to meet some locals too.

No need to book just turn up to Thallon street Sherwood, down the end and let them know you are there for the exercise class. It is probably a good idea to turn up early to ensure you get a carpark in the street.

A $2 donation is requested that is given to the Neighbourhood Centre to cover their cost.

The more active you are the better you feel.

We are proud to be platinum sponsors of the Sherwood State School and Graceville State School fetes for 2017.

We also were sponsors for the Rotary Fun Run and donated prizes to the Christ the King Fun Run.

We believe in supporting the local schools because we can make a difference in the community by Keeping Families active. We believe that Active and Pain free members of the community lead to an overall Healthy and Strong Community.

We are lucky to be part of the Communities of Chelmer, Graceville, Sherwood, Corinda, Oxley, Tennyson, Rocklea and surrounding Western Suburbs. We have a very strong community and we are grateful for the support.

Because of this we like to give to communities less strong than our own.

To date we have supplied enough Neck Teks to our patients to cover the cost of building 5 water tanks/houses in the cyclone devastated area of Vanuatu.

A large proportion of the purchase cost of a Neck Tek goes directly to that cause. There is no middle man so you can feel good that by strengthening your neck and improving your posture you are also keeping safe women and children who now have water tanks near their homes eliminating the need for them to walk for long distances to source fresh water.
